Laying Out a Round Table

Runtime 0:52
The geometry on square or rectangular woodworking projects is pretty easy to figure out. But when it comes to round projects, like tables, it’s a little more difficult. This woodworking class shows you how to lay out the project on a piece of scrap plywood so you know everything you need to know before you cut the first piece of project material.

These are using slip tendons, correct? Otherwise, the dimenions don’t work.

    Hi George,

It would have been very helpful to have seen how the rails were set up on the table beforehand so we knew where we were going as you were making all of the measurements.   I would also love to see how you cut the curves on the bandsaw…I can only imagine the wavy lines I would end up with by the time I was done!  I really like the table.

I had no Idea were you were going with all this untill about 3/4 the way thru the video. but what a nice project but way beyond my skill level at this point. but I will someday like to make this table.
